Who is Rowena?
Rowena Portch has been writing professionally for over 30 years, across
different genres and for various publications. She is an accomplished
artist, homeopathic, herbalist, and licensed body worker. After losing
her vision to retinitis pigmentosa, she retired from her position as an
editor at Microsoft, and she and her husband, Gregg, opened a wellness
clinic on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in Washington State.

The beautiful horse I'm on is my Belle. She and I had 10 wonderful years to share before she passed on. She is the only horse I trusted to ride blind. She took great care of me and expertly led me through winding forested trails. We had many wonderful adventures together. She will make her appearance in book 3 of the Spirian series.

Meet Skye-bear, my faithful guide dog. She is the star of my Spirian series, although her name was changed to Maiyun to protect the innocent. :)
This dog has the best job on the planet. She gets to sleep most of the day, enjoys goodies from our clients, and she is with us all the time--my constant companion.
Next to my husband, she is my best friend.
